Protein content in your shake per serving or 100 grams?
Most American companies will put their protein content forum their whey and casein shakes per serving on the label. And also the fat, carbohydrate and sugar content. If this is the case it is hard to see if your protein shake has a high, moderate or low content of these values. When we calculate to per 100 grams we will find out that some of these protein shakes are not so high in protein.
So let's break down some products and see what the values are per 100 grams.
BSN Syntha-6
The protein content is 22 grams per serving of 44 grams. This is easy, 50% is protein with this powder -> 50 grams per 100 grams. That is quite low when you compare this to other products.
BSN Syntha-6 Isolate
25 grams per 38 grams serving -> (25/38) x 100 = 65,8% or g/100g
BSN Syntha 6 Edge
24 grams per 36.5 grams serving -> (24/36.5) x 100 = 65,8% or g/100g
Dedicated Nutrition Fusion Pro
22 grams per 32 grams serving -> (22/32) x100 = 68,8% or g/100g
MuscleTech Nitro Tech Performance
30 grams per 37 grams serving -> (30/37) x 100 = 81% or g/100g -> But can we trust this with all the added amino acids and creatine?
MusclePharm Arnold Iron Whey
22 grams per 32.4 grams serving -> (22/32.4) x 100 = 67,9% or g/100g -> But as you can see there are a lot of amino acids stated on the ingredient list -> More info
Ronny Coleman ProAntium
29 grams per 44 grams serving -> (29/44) x 100 = 65,9% or g/100g -> But a lot of added amino acids and creatine. The real protein content can be lower because of this.
If you find any other protein powders with a lower protein content or added amino acids or creatine you can leave a comment or send a message and we will add it.
